CITY PARK HOUSE

City Park House is located alongside a beautiful golf course and park located just east of downtown Denver. The stately 100 year old existing home and oversized lot provided ample opportunities for the design of a large new addition. The client desired a full update and modernization of the existing home, as well as a large addition which included a pool house and gym. The intent of the addition was to ensure it sharply contrasted and yet complimented the existing home. Contrast was achieved through utilizing modern materials in a bold, deep black color to contrast the newly white-washed brick of the existing home. However, through the careful articulation of complimentary massing achieved through honoring the existing steeply pitched roof lines; the old and new come together in a compelling motif which will be admired by fans and critics alike.
